Horizon Opens New Office in Boston Area. - Saturday, May 01, 2010

Horizon Solutions has moved in to our new office in Quincy, MA - just outside of Boston.  This office is primarily aimed to serve our Boston Metro area Lighting & Energy customers and is the headquarters for Horizon's Lighting & Energy Services (HLES) team.  Located at 1212 Hancock Street, Suite LL15, Quincy, MA - the office is right across the street from the Quincy T station, as well as convienient to downtown Boston and the airport. The new office in Quincy, MA is just one of several investments Horizon Solutions is making in 2010 to better serve our customers.

Governor Patrick: clean energy a 'better idea' - Thursday, September 24, 2009

Governor Deval Patrick this morning called on business leaders to embrace his vision for the state's emerging clean energy industry, both to reduce their own costs and to boost the state's economy by capitalizing on a growing field.

 

"The Stone Age didn't end, as somebody said, because we ran out of stone, but because humankind had a better idea," Patrick said in a speech before the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce this morning at Westin Copley Place. "Clean energy is a better idea -- better for our pocketbooks, better for the planet, and better for our economy."

NY INDUSTRIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS APPROVED! - Thursday, August 20, 2009

- Millions Available to Help Large Manufacturers in New York State Improve Energy Efficiency - 

The New York State Public Service Commission (Commission) today approved $24.4 million in funding for an electric and natural gas energy efficiency program to improve the energy efficiency of large-scale industrial customers, a substantial incentive to these economically important, job-sustaining large manufacturing companies.

 

“Improving energy efficiency is of critical importance to large industrial companies as they compete in a global marketplace,” said Commission Chairman Garry Brown. “We are proud to find ways to help improve the energy efficiency of highly valued industrial consumers. We are confident these programs will enable these companies to prosper and create much-needed regional employment opportunities.”

Springfield college to become a "green" jobs training hub - Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Springfield Technical Community College is getting a three-year $1.87 million contract to create energy efficiency workforce training programs to be used at other area community colleges. The college was chosen as the hub to develop this job training initiative by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, which was created by the Green Communities Act of 2008 to foster growth in the clean energy sector.

Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Providers Unveil Unprecedented $4 Billion Savings Plan - Tuesday, May 05, 2009

In an unparalleled move to dramatically reduce energy use in Massachusetts, a coalition of the Commonwealth’s leading energy efficiency providers is unveiling a three-year plan to deliver services to residents and businesses that will ultimately net more than $4 billion in energy savings. If the plan is approved, the coalition will begin offering an increased level of services to their customers in 2010.

Governor Patrick signs landmark energy legislation - Thursday, July 03, 2008

 

Governor Deval Patrick signed a landmark energy bill yesterday that does away with long-standing obstacles to building renewable power projects in Massachusetts and making homes and businesses more energy efficient.

 

The Green Communities Act was hailed by environmentalists as among the most innovative efforts in the nation to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and to encourage use of clean technologies that don't contribute to global warming.

Horizon’s  Lighting and Energy Solutions group is excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Action Energy USA from Fall River, MA to form a Strategic Alliance to provide Horizon Solution’s customers with Whole Building Energy Analysis capabilities.   Action Energy will be working with Horizon and our customers in MA, CT, NH and RI.

 

Action Energy USA is a turnkey Mechanical and Power Solutions provider.  Through this Strategic Alliance, Horizon Solutions is now able to offer our customers energy savings solutions from procurement through startup.
